Senior Manager Charging Business (all genders welcome) 



at the Kia Connect GmbH in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.


Job mission:


You lead the strategic direction, governance, and commercial performance of the Kia eMobility Service Provider (eMSP) business across whole Europe. You define and execute the roadmap for EV charging services, ensure alignment with corporate objectives, market developments, and regulatory requirements. You drive revenue growth through competitive pricing, strong supplier partnerships, and innovative charging solutions while represent the business in internal leadership forums and external industry bodies. 


Your Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership 

  • Define and execute the long-term strategy and roadmap for eMSP operations across regions. 

  • Identify growth opportunities and develop scalable EV charging service offerings. 

Commercial & Financial Management 

  • Own the commercial performance of the eMSP business, including revenue growth, pricing strategy, and profitability. 

  • Manage P&L, budgeting, and financial planning for charging services. 

Supplier & Contract Management 

  • Lead negotiations and manage agreements with Charging Point Operators (CPOs) and strategic partners. 

  • Manage SaaS partners relationship to ensure optimal technical performance of charging services 

  • Ensure competitive, compliant, and scalable contractual frameworks. 

Stakeholder Management 

  • Align with internal teams (Digital Services, Data Management, Campaigns and Customer Support) so that customer experience across Kia Connect’s digital channels (Head Unit, App, Store, Wallet, Website) reflects Kia brand’s image and quality standards.  

  • Collaborate closely with Finance and Legal teams to enforce compliance of the European and local regulations  

Governance & Representation 

  • Represent the eMSP business in executive steering committees and cross-functional leadership forums. 

  • Engage with industry associations and professional bodies related to EV charging and mobility services. 

Innovation & Ecosystem Development 

  • Drive business development of innovative charging solutions together with internal partners (e.g., Kia EU and Kia HQ) including home and, depot charging, smart charging and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) initiatives.

Operations 

  • Run and operate the Charging administration systems  

Your talents:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Mobility Management, Energy Management or a related field 

Experience:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in the automotive, mobility, energy, or digital services sector. 

  • 4+ years in leadership roles with responsibility for business performance, strategy execution, or product/service portfolios. 

  • Proven experience in eMobility, EV charging ecosystems, connected services, or energy/utility markets

  • Demonstrated track record of commercial management, including pricing strategy, revenue growth, or P&L ownership. 

  • Experience managing strategic partnerships and supplier negotiations, ideally with Charging Point Operators (CPOs), roaming providers, or energy partners. 

  • Exposure to international markets and cross-functional collaboration in complex corporate environments. 

Skills & Knowledge & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build strategic partnerships across the mobility and energy sectors

  • Experience representing the organization in industry forums and cross-company governance structures

  • Strategic & Commercial Leadership 

  • Ability to define and execute market strategies in rapidly evolving mobility ecosystems

  • Strong commercial acumen including pricing strategy, tariff design, and business model development

  • Industry & Technical Understanding 

  • Solid understanding of the EV charging ecosystem (eMSP, CPOs, roaming, smart charging). 

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as smart charging, V2G, and energy integration

    Partnership & Stakeholder Management 

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), suitable languages advantageous 

  • International background and mindset fitting to diverse management roles in a global company, ideally internationally mobile
